Planning and development In the Leeton Shire Council is guided by the following:

Local Strategic Planning Statement

Council's Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) outlines clear planning priorities describing what will be needed, where these are located and when they will be delivered. The LSPS sets short, medium and long-term actions to deliver the priorities for the community’s vision.

The Leeton LSPS will establish a consistent framework for the Leeton Shire that will:

  1. Explain development standards important to the Leeton community.
  2. Support the decisions relating to the assessment and consideration of development applications.
  3. Set future strategic planning reviews and decisions.
