Leeton Early Learning Centre is seeking applications for the position of Early Childhood Teacher (0-5 years). This successful candidate will lead a room and support the staff to develop, implement and evaluate a program of experiences and activities for the optimum growth and learning of all children.  This position will also form part of the leadership team within the Service.


Qualifications and Experience

  • The applicant will be a highly motivated, energetic, creative person to engage children’s learning and will have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A current ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching Degree qualifications (or working towards this qualification), NSW Working with Children’s check and a First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training) recognised under the Children Protection Act 1998 are essential.
  • The applicant will have a demonstrated ability to implement current pedagogical practices for children aged 0-5 years with sound interpersonal skills with the general public and fellow employees.  


Salary & Conditions:

  • The position is classified as Grade 11 in Council's salary system and will attract a salary in the range of $1,403.30 to $1,563.70 per week plus 11.5% superannuation, with a monthly Rostered Day Off. However, if working toward a qualification, Council will negotiate an alternate rate of pay for the successful candidate.
  • Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a functional assessment which includes an Alcohol & Other Drugs screening.
  • It is also a requirement, on commencement, to provide evidence of being COVID-19 vaccinated.
