Notice – Council Closures on Australia Day 2025 Public Holiday

Council would like to advise that the following services/facilities will be closed on the Australia Day public holiday – Monday, 27 January 2025.

  • Council Administration Building, Depot and Leeton Shire Library
  • Leeton Landfill & Recycling Centre
  • Leeton Early Learning Centre & Vacation Care Program
  • Leeton Museum and Art Gallery
  • Leeton Visitor Information Centre
  • Leeton Indoor Stadium

The following facilities will be open:

  • Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre (open 6.00am to 7.30am & 10.00am to 7.30pm. Entry will be FREE from 3.00pm to close for the Australia Day Pool Party. The Waterslide will be open from 1.00pm to 7.00pm
  • Whitton Swimming Pool (open 1.00pm to 7.00pm – FREE entry all day)

Kerbside Waste & Recycling Collection services will continue as per normal. Please ensure all your bins are placed out the night before as collection may be ahead of schedule.
