There are several more community groups working towards making the Leeton Shire an enjoyable, supportive and rewarding place to live. More information on these groups can be found in the Community Services Directory.

Leeton's migrant and refugee success stories
Read how Ali Mehdi made his way to Leeton in the link below. Ali is just one of the successful migrant and refugee stories coming out of Leeton, which is the subject of a new report by Charles Sturt University. He has a master's degree in urban planning and is employed by Leeton Shire Council. Ali feels very lucky with this move and described Leeton as follows: "In town planning there is a term we use, 'Small is beautiful'. So is this town, Leeton."
Leeton will be pilot town for the Growing Regions of Welcome program, which will assist with skill shortages in regional NSW.
