Youth Week 2025

Leeton Shire Council is pleased to announce a series of engaging training and workshop opportunities for Youth Week 2025 (9 – 17 April), aimed at equipping young people with important skills for the future.

Proudly funded by the NSW Government, all activities are free and open to youth aged 12 to 24.

Activities Schedule:

• Barista Course* at Leeton Museum and Art Gallery | Monday 7 April 2025 and Thursday 10 April 2025
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course* at Western Riverina Community College (WRCC) | Wednesday 9 April 2025
• Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) Course* at Yanco All Serviceman's Club | Thursday 10 April 2025
• Whitecard Course* at Western Riverina Community College (WRCC) | Tuesday 15 April 2025
• Cover Letter & Resume Writing Workshop & Basic Banking with NAB at Leeton Shire Library | Tuesday, 15 April 2025
• First Aid Course* at Western Riverina Community College (WRCC) | Wednesday 16 April 2025 and Thursday 17 April 2025

Councillor and Portfolio Lead for Youth, Sandra Nardi, said this year’s Youth Week theme is, "We are the future, and the future is now!"

"The free courses on offer are designed to equip young people with important skills, whether it’s to enter the job market, develop new abilities or better prepare themselves for the future.

“Spots are limited and we encourage those interested to book in as soon as possible,” said Cr Nardi.
