1st Leeton Scout Group utilising new kitchen equipment purchased through Council's Community Grants Program

The Council offers grants regularly throughout the year.

It is essential to discuss any proposed applications with Council staff in advance of submitting your application. This will increase your opportunity for success. Please note that grant applications must be lodged to Council three weeks prior to a Council Meeting in order to be considered. And the event or activity must occur after the meeting date.

Community Strengthening One-Off Grants

These grants are offered twice per year to provide funding support to community groups and organisations in their endeavours to establish, strengthen and/or implement projects which will benefit the Leeton Shire Community. 

Timeline for Community Strengthening Grants

Round 1

Opens – 1 September
Closes – 31 October
Announced – after November Council meeting

Round 2

Opens – 1 March
Closes – 30 April
Announced – after May Council meeting

Quick Response Grants

Quick Response Grants are capped at a maximum of $2000.

These grants are provided for the purpose of supporting activities that arise unexpectedly, with limited notice, outside the window of the twice yearly Community Strengthening Grants Scheme.

Youth Development Grants

Youth Development Grants are offered at a set amount of $250 and are available to support high achievement in a cultural, academic or sporting activity that requires attendance at a State, National or International level event.

Applications are currently not accepted due to Council updating the eligibility criteria in the Community Grants Program Guidelines. If you would like to receive further clarification please phone Director Economic & Community Development Michelle Evans on (02) 6953 0911.
